Revitalising social media presence

Made in Britain is an internationally recognised symbol of manufacturing excellence that represents thousands of British manufacturing companies and champions a variety of industries in the UK.

Our digital marketing team were tasked with managing their social media accounts and creating a meaningful social strategy that gave these platforms a purpose and supported their growth. Discover how we’ve increased Made in Britain’s following, created an online community for their members to engage with one another and showcase their products to a wider audience.

Bringing together the British manufacturing community

We initially set up a short three-month paid ads campaign for reach, traffic and engagement. Overall, Made in Britain’s platforms lacked purpose, so we used this as an opportunity to promote what the trademark stands for and the incredible products their members manufacture in the UK. This campaign, in turn, supported our development of a social strategy which promoted brand awareness and increased engagement within the online community.

The main priority for our client is to share their members’ news and to celebrate the incredible innovations and achievements of British manufacturing, but their social media simply wasn’t serving this purpose. We’ve nurtured an online community where this could happen. Members are now networking and supporting each other’s successes.

Other than the short campaign we set up initially, the rest of the platform’s growth has been completely organic. We increased their Facebook following by 98% to 6,582 and expanded their LinkedIn audience to over 18,000 followers. This growth has seen the organisation achieve greater brand awareness, showcasing the incredible benefits they offer to its members, and has helped grow the membership to record levels.

The trademarks span multiple product classes and aim to help consumers and specifiers identify products made by their members. As a non-profit organisation, they work to support, promote and represent manufacturers who produce products in the geographical territory of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
